1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
- played a sport and actually loved it :)

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
- stopped making lists when i realized i couldn't follow them anyway... i just have a few beliefs that i will hopefully stick with : a) no to temptations! b) never assume c) take everything as is

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
- my best friend's sister in law last august and my cousin wendy last dec 23.. =)

4. Did anyone close to you die?
- an uncle pero he's not really close naman.. shocked lang ako coz he's just 47..

5. What countries did you visit?
- canada with a stopover in HK! it was for my cousin's wedding! grabe that was in july pa.. bilis ng panahon..

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
- erm, this one's hard ha... i would guess confidence in myself and what i have to offer :p

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- nothing in particular struck me the most but i can say a lot of fun and memorable events happened to me this year that i'll forever remember...

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- travel on my own! and a 24 hour trip at that! :p

9. What was your biggest failure?
- removing my jealous streak.. hahaha! and being impatient and pagtatanim ng sama ng loob..

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
- well i got a severe stomach ache while in amanpulo! super sakit niya and sa sobrang namimilipit ako sa pain, gumugulong lang ako sa kama ng parents ko! acidic attack at its worst, plus expensive doctor's fee to boot!

11. What was the best thing you bought?
- hmmm my pink cellphone! plus my gameboard investment: cranium! mahal pero sulit naman ata :P

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
- my friends! this year was when i found out who the true ones really were and whom i'll value till the end of time...

13. Whose behaviour appalled you and made you depressed?
- ahahahahhaa! isang tao, well actually 3 pala ang talagang kinainisan ko this year! and i don't think magiging ok pa ko talaga with them =) (not a loss, really)

14. Where did most of your money go?
- shopping sprees! birthday celebrations! :p

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
- my canada trip! and my bora trip with HS friends! :p

- "It Doesn't Get Better than this" and Ne-yo's "Because of You"

- more honesty.

- less tantrums pero unavoidable eh :p

- with family and friends

- yes.. hahaha!

- none

- hate is such a strong word... pero meron akong ok naman last year pero ayaw na ngayon.. hahaha!

- i can't remember.. hehe! hindi naman ata worth mentioning kasi :p

- anything musical that i've learned, most likely from kris yun!

28. What did you want and get?
- a closer friendship with my friends

29. What did you want and not get?
- better left unsaid and forgotten in 2007... although deep down its impossible to do so

- transformers and stardust

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
- i felt festive this year and treated a lot of my friends... not only was i able to catch up with old friends, i was able to try out new restos as well... i turned 24.. a year shy of quarterlife crisis!

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
- if things were clearer (diba maan we were discussing this? hahaha! ang gulo kasi eh! sayang sa oras, effort at panahon ko :p)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
- malandi! hahahaha!

34. What kept you sane?
- friends especially my closest friends in HS, college and work

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
- my mind is currently blank

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
- hmmmm... sobrang olats ako sa ganyan... i don't read newspapers kasi eh.. oops..

37. Who did you miss?
- my other college friends... soobrang tagal ko na kasing hindi nakikita or nakakakwentuhan ng matagal eh..

38. Who was the best new person you met?
- siguro si ryan kasi first time ko palang nakilala, magaan na loob ko eh... mabait at nakakatawa kasi =)

- never love fully, leave some for yourself...

This is the way it should be for all of us! Let's all find joy in the little things in our lives. We may not get all that we want, but there are still things that can make us happy, and that is the company of our family and friends! It pays to be just crazy sometimes! =)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

perceptions

its amazing how each person has his/her own perception on things. one person may be thinking a certain way when the other is the opposite, and this is about the same situation.

a group of people may have the same perception on some people and yet the people involved perceive things differently. a perfect example would be a friendship between a guy and a girl. its funny how observers would conclude from certain actions that there's something going on between these two people when in fact these two people can just really be friends who are comfortable being together. i've always come across this line , "feeling ko magiging kayo talaga someday. may chemistry kasi kayo." or "may something sa kanila. ibang klase sila kumilos eh. ang sweet." how can you tell anyway? when in fact it really is just an innocent friendship that these 2 people have.

but what hurts in this kind of situation is when one of the two people involved perceives their friendship as something more, when in fact it really is purely platonic on the other's side. its really hard to make guesses on what the other is thinking. and no matter what kind of advice or opinion you ask from friends and family, they can never be of help really, coz everyone has different perceptions on things. it doesn't matter if friends niyo na or kabarkada niyo na mismo ang nagsasabi na magiging kayo dahil may napapansin silang iba, kasi in the end, nasa inyo parin ang katotohanan. kayo lang makakapagsabi kung ano talaga ang meron sa inyo.

i'm writing this at 1am because i just got home from a mini-reunion with my college blockmates and my best friend and i were talking about this on the drive home. oh diba, serious topic daw! hahaha!

dead tired BUT merry

my body hasn't recovered yet from the battering it got this 3 day weekend. but all is well, for my body may be tired but my spirit is merry. wow my spirit is all christmas-y already.

so anyway, last friday my co-baddicts/nihaoman/sz friends and i met up at around 1030 am for our holiday-badminton ritual. this ritual includes eating lunch together and watching gossip girl episodes while we rest after eating. then games would again resume after the show and would end at 6pm. normally after a game, we would head on home and rest. but this time, things were different. blame it perhaps on our newly-received 13th month pay plus trick's invite to eat out, that we ate dinner instead of going home.

we spent a good 2 - 3 hours at hotrocks just eating, exchanging stories and laughing. although some of us had our heads resting on whatever they could lean on, people still craved for dessert and since starbucks is the default after dinner place-to-be, we decided to head there. thinking that the metrowalk and silver city branches would be crowded, we chose to go to the clubhouse at corinthians (yes, my favorite place). the weather at night is very cold already signalling that christmas is really here and because of this, trick and i decided to drive to corinthians sans windows and aircon! Sarap!

with desserts and drinks at hand, we decided to eat outside and enjoy the cool breeze of december (insert jose mari chan's song here! haha!). patrick is indeed a one-man show. we "met" some of his friends namely: the destroyer, the devil himself, the killjoy and his brother, the warfreak to name a few. we literally had stiff necks from staring at trick the whole time. later that night, the stories shifted from funny antics and anecdotes to horror stories. i was so scared that by the time we went home at 1am, vivid images of multos are embedded in my mind. i wasn't able to sleep well after. i had around 3-4 hours of sleep only and with little rest, i started another long day.

i picked up my best friend after lunch and we headed to Tiendesitas for some Christmas shopping. we were able to buy a few gifts for others but we ended up buying more gifts for ourselves! haha! after finishing up in Tiendesitas, we went to Megamall afterwards for those gifts that can only be bought in malls. as usual, i ended up buying a lot of stuff for myself. haha! but nevertheless, i was able to finish shopping for my sz friends and inaanaks! the rest of the haul would be bought in the days to come.

afterwards, i went with my best friend and her family to hear mass at Christ the King in Green Meadows. it was my first time to hear mass there but i was so tired that my head kept falling and during the times my eyes were open, my mind was wandering elsewehere. my day didn't end there. i went and ate dinner at omakase with the Badillo family. i swear i'm their other daughter/sister. thanks tita zeny for dinner!

i got home at around 10pm but for some weird reason, i didn't want to sleep. instead, i ended up sorting out the stuff i bought. i also decided to choose my stuff that i can donate to the CIA charity of choice. i also tried out the new outfit i bought for the sz christmas party! this has got to be the 4th outfit of choice but i think i'm sticking with it. i'm so excited! i got to sleep around 1am.

i didn't have any activity today. i just watched my mommy unpack. mom and dad are home! and i got a lot of pasalubongs! yey! hahaha! thank god mom is a shopaholic talaga coz i got great stuff! some stuff i could use as accessories for the sz christmas party. heehee! can't wait! so now i'm praying that i'll be able to sleep well tonight (hopefully no more remnants of the horror stories of the other night) so that my body could at least muster enough energy for another week ahead. =)
